Visitors from Mongolia!

What a privilege to have five delegates visit for a week from the Mongolian school Oyunii Tuv (School of Success): Enkhtuya Badamsed, Oyundelger Batsaikan, Zorigt Badamsed, Chuluuntuya Badraa, and Zina Amarjargal. The school’s founder Enkhtuya Badamsed discovered the ACE curriculum three years ago and was looking for an example of how to combine ACE with their Mongolian National curriculum. When a director, Oyundelger Batsaikan, heard about our school and our bilingual program’s long history, she knew they must come for a visit.

During the week the guests visited all the learning centers, the Russian program, the ABC program, the Physical Science lab and our Russian for foreigners classes. They were also treated to a bit of Russian culture, attending the concert of the Russian Folk Dancers “Beryozka”. As the week progressed they had many questions answered and gained many ideas and insights into how they may be able to connect their two programs in the next academic year.

At the end of their visit the administrations were able to sign a memorandum of friendship and cooperation between our two schools. We look forward to many years of good relations, projects and visits with Oyunii Tuv. Keep an eye out for them at the next student convention!
