Christmas Program

Christmas is a time for making memories and traditions.
One of the exciting traditions our school has, at this time of year, is preparing for and presenting our Christmas program.
We were all especially excited this year — as the last time we had had a Christmas program was in 2019 – because of the Covid epidemic.

In November, the teachers and students were busily learning and practicing the new songs and dances that would be performed the night of the program. The rally hall was filled with the sounds of laughter as the students had fun learning the lines of the Christmas play that was written by Mr. Vitaly Stolychuk.
December 16th was the night of the big event. After a warm welcome from Mr Len and Mrs Olga, the program began with a beautiful poem performed by Liza Bahrami.
The Preschool and Primary classes entertained us with their dancing and Junior choir’s singing was enjoyed by everyone!

As the program continued, the audience watched the Christmas play be performed, with much emotion, by students from the Senior classes. The stage hands did a wonderful job moving around the props and making sure everything ran smoothly.
More dancing was brought to us by the Junior classes as well as Junior 3’s Hand Mime routine that has become a traditional favorite.
The program concluded with the Nativity story, the students dressed up in the costumes of angels, shepherds and wisemen … as we remembered the birth of Jesus – the reason we celebrate Christmas.

After the singing of We Wish You a Merry Christmas — everyone went out into the hall to enjoy a wonderful buffet and cake as well as good conversation.
Beautiful music, sparkling lights, colorful costumes, enthusiastic dancing and much laughter will be part of the memories that many of the students will have, in years to come, as they remember the Christmas program of 2022.
